Nathan Luff
BIO
Nathan Luff is an author, playwright and storyteller for young audiences. His works are often inspired by the antics he and his four brothers got up to living on a farm in rural NSW. He is the author of both the Nerd Herd and Family Disasters series, along with the CBCA Notable title Jungle Escape. His upcoming work includes the early reader Fuzzball, and the new Choose Your Ending series. Nathan is also an AWGIE award nominated playwright, the Children’s and YA Manager for the Sydney Writers’ Festival, and a primary school teacher specialising in the creative arts.
Nathan’s published books are: The Nerd Herd series, the Family Disaster series, the Choose Your Ending series, Jungle Escape, Fuzzball, Bad Grammar and Chicken Stu. There are over 180,000 copies of these books sold in Australia and New Zealand plus a whole bunch more overseas, including in Canada, China, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Iran, the Netherlands, Poland and Portugal.

Talks: Nathan discusses how he became a writer, including humorous tales from childhood that have become the inspiration for his books. Sessions from 30 to 60 minutes in length. Covers the writing process from inspiration to the final product.
Workshops: Nathan has a range of workshops; topics can be provided on request or can be custom made for the needs of your students.
Development Sessions for Teachers: Making Writing Fun, featuring lots of practical tips, games and activities that can be incorporated into the classroom.
