Judith Rossell
BIO
Judith Rossell is the multi-award-winning author-illustrator of the bestselling Stella Montgomery trilogy, Withering-by-Sea, Wormwood Mire and Wakestone Hall, and the new illustrated middle-grade novel, The Midwatch.
Judith has written sixteen books and illustrated more than eighty, including the picture books Bogtrotter and Pink! written by Margaret Wild. Her new junior fiction Spud and Snowball and the Fancy Fish will be published in October 2025. Her work has been published in the US and UK, and translated into twenty languages.

Judith runs entertaining and interactive sessions with younger primary-school students, creating mazes and monsters, playing drawing games, and demonstrating behind-the-scenes illustration tips and tricks.
With older primary-school students, she runs sessions about inspiration and imagination and history, and creating creepy characters they can use in their own writing.
